Tech Center Classes to End May 16
Students at Southside and Eastside technical centers will wrap up classes on Friday, May 16, because of the scheduled transition of career and technical education (CTE) programs to a new, consolidated location on Midland Avenue. The Hub for Innovative Learning & Leadership (The HILL) is slated to open in August.
From Monday, May 19, through the last day of school on Wednesday, May 28, these tech students will have remote educational or experiential opportunities.
Students who plan to participate in experiential education should pick up an Educational Enhancement Opportunity form from the front office at their tech school. Those who choose not to participate can remain at their high schools for the final six school days.
Students given remote opportunities will be notified on or before May 15.
The schedule change will allow faculty and staff to install equipment at The HILL, set up classrooms, and engage in professional learning before the school year ends.
